You Ask — We Answer

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FOR MY FIRST PHYSICAL THERAPY VISIT?

When you arrive, check in with the receptionist. Please bring any paperwork from your physician, along with your insurance cards. The Physical Therapist will ask questions regarding your symptoms. We evaluate your condition and inform you of your plan of care. We will likely instruct you on exercises you can perform at home.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR FOR PT?

Dress in loose, comfortable clothing that allows ease of movement and shoes appropriate for exercise.

WILL MY INSURANCE PAY FOR TREATMENT?

We accept most insurances. We will check your coverage and discuss any deductibles, co-pays, and benefit amounts before treatment begins. We also accept Worker's Compensation.

IS A REFERRAL NECESSARY?

West Virginia does not require a physician's referral for you to be able to receive Physical Therapy. However, many insurance companies do. Check with your insurance company to be sure, or if you have questions, we will be happy to help you understand your coverage.

WILL PHYSICAL THERAPY HURT?

Depending on your treatment, you may experience some pain. Our staff make every effort to keep discomfort to a minimum, however, you may experience some soreness following treatment from the exercises or procedures the therapists perform.

HOW LONG WILL I NEED TREATMENT?

Most injuries can be treated three times per week for 45 minutes to one hour each time. The number of weeks treatment lasts depends on the nature of your injury.
